coup de grace
1. innate human nature is fundamentally egoistic. every individual (or at least every individual who has a functioning ability to think properly for himself) follows a set of principles that he has developed. if someone else’s actions or philosophy are in contrast, or are incompatible with his own principles, then these two people are unlikely to get along unless both parties are willing to hide their distaste for each other.
2. the corollary to this is that i either love you or i hate you. the middle ground rarely or never exists. if the middle exists it just means that i haven’t seen enough of you to decide what kind of philosophy you subscribe to and i cannot be bothered with your opinion until you make it clear enough for me to decide whether i want to agree with you or lambaste your opinion.
3. i have come to realize the size of my personality… to expect me to give principled concessions is a very rare thing. if i concede to you, it is only because i actually fundamentally agree with you, i respect you a lot, or you’re special. sadly few people are special.

stupid christian who openly disobeys romans 14:22 and proselytizes and openly proclaims and pushes his faith onto others gets mad when others shove the false and fallacious logic with which he opines into the dumpster. it’s not an opinion when its objectively a lie lmao
this individual is possibly one of the most insanely unintelligent person ever (for various reasons) and I have unfriended him on facebook. not as a sign of protest towards his intrinsic stupidity (i have better ways to do that) but because I can’t stand his lack of brains
